One System - Many Options
No more "either orthosis or functional electrical stimulation":
Now combine both in one innovative treatment concept.
The evomove® is an aid to supplement orthoses for people with central nervous disorders. You can supplement an existing orthotic fitting with the evomove® or plan new fittings with the evomove®. The orthosis provides external stability while the evomove® specifically activates the muscles used for walking.
We train specialist companies to use the evomove® correctly. These companie specialists are the Evomotion-Partners who offer the evomove® exclusively. Especially for Evomotion-Partners we offer the screening kit. It contains special accessories to carry out screenings and thus create the optimum conditions for supplies.
In the screening you take the leg measurements of the users so we are able to manufacture individualized cuffs. And you determine the ideal parameters for stimulation. As soon as you hand over your own evomove® to the users, you transfer the parameters from the screening to the new evomove®.
Knee safety/stability
Stimulation of the M. triceps surae with focus on the M. gastrocnemius in the initial stance phase (initial contact - early mid stance) with the aim of controlled knee flexion, to reduce or minimize the genu recurvatum.
Knee flexion initiation
Stimulation of the M. gastrocnemius during the initiation of the swing phase (Terminal Stance - Initial Swing) for knee flexion and thus for the generation of the swing leg forward movement, favors the extension of the walking distance.
Improvement of alignment in the orthosis
Stimulation of the M. tibialis anterior and the fibularis loge (peroneas) for tonus regulation in the swing phase and for the joint closure of the ankle joint before the initial ground contact and during the shock absorption phase.
In addition, the activation of the body's own structures (targeted muscle activity) results in tone regulation and improved proprioception.
The control unit is the heart of the evomove®. It performs everything from gear detection to the electrical impulse.
Practical: With our moulding dummy and the mount, you can install the control unit directly into the orthosis.
With the Evomotion-app you bring a powerful FES-system to life:
Evomotion-Partner configure the stimulation in a separate area of the app so that it ideally supports the user while walking. Users activate the stimulation and adjust the intensity to their own daily form.
We manufacture the cuff individually for each user to be able to offer a perfect fit on the leg and a high level of comfort. It is connected to the control unit by cable and holds the electrodes in the correct position on the skin.
You can stimulate two muscle groups simultaneously and use the app to precisely set the timing for each muscle group.
During the screening, use the enclosed adhesive electrodes to determine the best position for optimal muscle response.
Adjust the stimulation to the individual needs of the user with the settings for intensity, timing, pulse width and frequency.
The evomove® is equipped with a 6D inertial sensor that detects the walking movement. An adaptive algorithm finds the right time for stimulation.
• Adults and children
• Existing or possible orthotic fitting
• Ability to walk and stand (supported by orthosis)
• Motor and mental abilities to operate the evomove®
• Good response to electrical stimulation
• Good compliance (e.g. painless application)
Limited walking ability due to central nervous disorders such as:
• Stroke (Apoplexy)
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• (infantile) cerebral palsy (CP)
• Traumatic brain injury
• Incomplete paraplegia
Absolute contraindications:
• Malignant injuries in the stimulation area
• Inflammation of superficial veins/thrombophlebitis Thrombosis
• Local fractures or concentrated
• Skin mantle changes or skin pulls in the stimulation area
• Official rights that cannot be compensated for, the rights that the basic functions (switching on/off, setting the stimulation intensity) can be operated in the app
• Responsible care by political or third parties, the caregiver does not affect every application of the evomove®
• Basic loss of walking motion
• Concerns include full duration
Relative contraindications:
• Seizure disorders (e.g. epilepsy)
• Severe obesity
• Use of pacemakers or defibrillators
• Concerns of metal implants in the area of application
• Existing skin diseases or known sensitive skin (dermatological monitoring of use recommended)
With the screening kit, you record the patient's data, which are necessary for the production of the individualized evomove®, based on a test fitting.
The evomove® stimulation unit as the central element is placed with the holder on the cuff during screening. You use the screening cuff to attach the evomove® to the affected leg. Thanks to the velcro surface, you have all the freedom to find the best position. Of course, the system can be worn over an orthosis or without orthosis.
You use the self-adhesive electrodes during screening to find the best position for triggering a muscle contraction, with the cable the electrodes are connected to the control unit.
The applications for the technical configuration of the stimulation are currently exclusively available for iOS devices. An Evomotion partner card is included in the screening kit. With this card you unlock the area for your app that you need for the screening. Simply scan the QR code when you start the Evomotion app and get started in the partner area.
Not visible, but still in the screening kit is our full support for all questions regarding the use of the evomove®. Together with you, we want to enable innovative treatments that sustainably improve the quality of life of users.
To be an Evomotion-Partner participation in our training and the purchase of at least one screening kit is required.
So you are prepared and ready.
We look forward to your message and to being able to help you further.
